Sailing Setup
We are very eager to dial in the sail setup. This has gone through many revisions with the first picture being the best (on land) design and getting the best results. The hammock idea didn't go very far as it was hard to control. it wanted to behave like an out of control spinnaker. The 'sail' is nothing more than a 6.5 ft sunshade from Amazon. It works surprisingly well. We also know the center board needs to be up front, and have achieved a temporary result with fan blades. It worked well, so a proper center/dagger board will also help. Finally the sail adjustments and rigging are also still being working on. In spite of this we are able to sail a beam and broad reach, making this more fun and saving our battery power for anything but up wind destinations.
